Looking for something fun to do on a Friday night? We have just the thing. Join us at The Village Chocolate Shoppe in Bennington from 6 pm-8pm every Friday night in July and August. Here is a listing of the events for the summer of 2011. Keep your eyes out for the schedule of events for this summer, 2012.
     
     
Come and build your own chocolate house. All proceeds will benefit The Bennington Coalition for the Homeless.
     
Come and explore the wonders of the rainforest! Learn about the plants and animals including the tree where we get cacao beans that are used to make chocolate. Come ready for fun.
     
Here is your chance to make the animals that you learned about last week. Monkeys, frogs, parrots and other rainforest friends will be made out of chocolate.
  
     
     

So you think you have the best combination for a candy bar? Come in and try your combination. Choose from a variety of ingredients and put them together. Then watch your creation go through the cooling tunnel. This is our most popular event every year.
     
Make a treat for your dog and one for yourself. 25% of proceeds will be donated to Second Chance Animal Shelter. Dogs welcome. Don't have a dog? Come and make a sweet treat for yourself.
     

What better way to celebrate Battle Day. Choose from a huge variety of ice cream and toppings; enjoy your own special ice cream treat. Don't forget the cherry.
     
This is the sixth year of this very popular event. We take some of your favorite carnival games and give them a chocolate twist. Non pariel toss, ring around the fudge apple, fudge bingo and many more.
     
The three finalists have been chosen from all ideas submitted on facebook. Come and vote for your favorite one. Winning bar will be announced at the end of the evening. Also join us to help celebrate the one year wedding anniversary of Benny and Molly, our resident chocolate moose.
